Who We Work With · ii.

Stewarding wealth beyond the founder.

Your wealth is reaching or has reached the point where structure matters as much as performance. It sits across accounts, trusts, companies and more than one investment manager, and no single person holds the whole picture. The job has quietly shifted from growing it to overseeing, protecting and passing it on.

Typical client

A family, post-liquidity or second-generation

  • £5M–£50M+ of investable assets, excluding property
  • Wealth fragmented across trusts, companies and managers
  • A generational transition approaching, or newly underway
  • An existing private bank underwhelming on coordination
  • No consolidated view of total family wealth today
The situation

Enough moving parts that coordination is the value.

Above a certain level of wealth, the binding constraint stops being returns and starts being coordination. The pieces are all competent; it is the space between them that leaks.

A family typically arrives with several investment managers, a solicitor, an accountant, one or two trusts and a company or two, each doing its job in isolation. What is missing is the person whose job is the whole: a consolidated view, a governance framework, and a single point of contact who can act as a regulated conductor across the others.

We are explicit about how we coexist with the managers you already have. We are not precious about existing relationships, and we do not require you to move everything to work with us. Often the most useful thing we do in year one is simply to give a family, for the first time, one accurate picture of what it owns.

And because a family office is a twenty-year relationship, permanence matters. A chartered firm with a real, permanent office and a succession plan is a different proposition from a single adviser working from a serviced room.

A family office is not a product you buy. It is a discipline of oversight, and its value shows up in the mistakes that quietly never happen.

How we'd work with you

Family-office substance, without the standalone cost.

We assemble the oversight of a single-family office around your existing advisers, coordinated through Guardian:CONNECT, so you gain the governance without building an institution to house it.

"
We kept the investment managers we were happy with. What changed is that someone now holds the whole picture, and we ask our questions once instead of five times.

A private consultation

Discreet. Considered.

Most families reach us by referral, during their own due diligence. When you are ready, we are glad to meet in person at Marlow Place and talk through what oversight would look like for you.
