Herbert & Webster was founded in 2010 by Adam Herbert and Colin Webster.

The vision of our firm is to provide financial advice which is truly independent, holistic and client focused.

Now 14 years on, we have grown considerably and look after wealthy private clients and business owners, with approximately £150 million in assets under advice.

Our Guardian Service

Over the years we’ve found that during the course of our clients’ financial journey we inevitably encounter situations outside of our professional capabilities that require the assistance of third party advisers, such as a solicitor to place an asset into trust and create a will, an accountant to file a tax return and advise on maximising pension contributions, or a mortgage adviser to reduce the cost of borrowing.

For this reason, we’ve created our Guardian service, giving you direct access to our panel of trusted third-party advisers.

We earned Chartered status in 2017 as a testament to our unwavering commitment to ethical codes, professional values and meticulous due diligence.

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials is a United Kingdom certification scheme designed to show an organisation has a minimum level of protection in cyber security through annual assessments to maintain certification. Backed by the UK government and overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre

Financial Vulnerability Charter

The Financial Vulnerability Taskforce created this Charter in 2021 and it has over 1,000 firms (circa 4,000 members) using the Charter badge to augment their own approach to vulnerability.

It focuses specifically on vulnerability and forms a key part of the Consumer Duty Alliance Code of Professional Standards. We produced it as a standalone document to reflect the importance of vulnerability, originally specific to financial planning, then revised it in January 2024 to make it relevant to the personal finance, legal and accountancy professions.

Consumer Duty Alliance

The Consumer Duty Alliance, launched 9 March 2023, is an independent, ‘not-for-profit’ professional body. It aims to support the personal finance sector in the adoption and implementation of the FCA’s Consumer Duty requirements through the alliance of like-minded individuals and firms.

Individuals and firms can join the Alliance for free then use a unique digital badge and Consumer Guide to promote their commitment to delivering better client outcomes.
